According to the ministry of Health, the official launch of the vaccination will be next Week. The Ministry of Health confirmed the arrival of India’s first batch of the Covishield vaccine this Friday and announces the arrival of the first batch of the Sinopharm vaccine next Wednesday.
The ministry recalls that Morocco has acquired 66 million doses of Covid vaccine to vaccinate 33 million Moroccans.
The vaccination campaign will be carried out gradually with priority targets being health professionals aged 40 and over, public authorities, members of the army, teachers aged over 45, and people aged over 75.
The operation will also cover areas where the level of COVID-19 contamination is high.
Citizens and resident foreigners belonging to these categories can check or make their appointments as well as arrange the vaccination site on the electronic portal www.liqahcorona.ma or by sending an SMS to the number 1717 from Sunday 24 January at midday.
The ministry recalls that it will launch a large-scale communication campaign to raise awareness and explain to citizens everything they need to know about the national vaccination campaign against Covid, and urges all Moroccans to continue to respect the precautionary measures against Covid.
