Ministry of Health sets up a COVID-19 mobile screening laboratory
In Morocco, the Ministry of Health has set up a mobile laboratory to extend screening for the new coronavirus with a view to gradually lifting the sanitary containment.
The laboratory was designed under the supervision of the National Institute of Health at a time when the ministry plans to expand screening and reduce the time it takes to obtain results, the Arabic-language site Hespress.com reported.
The same source added that the Ministry of Health plans to carry out 10,000 coronavirus tests per day over the next few days, compared to 4,000 currently across Morocco.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, some 100,000 tests have been carried out since the beginning of the epidemic on Sunday morning, of which 89,048 were negative and 6,798 positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).

CNSS: May allowance registration begins
The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) announces the opening of applications for the net monthly lump-sum allowance for the month of May. Applications are made on the dedicated “covid19.cnss.ma” platform, in application of the support measures for companies vulnerable to the shocks induced by the coronavirus crisis. The companies affiliated to the CNSS must declare their employees in temporary work stoppage for the month of May from May 16 to June 3, in order to allow them to benefit from the allowance of 2000 DH decided by the Economic Intelligence Committee (CVE) and paid by the Special Fund for the management of the coronavirus.

Adoption of the draft law on travel contracts, tourist stays and passenger air transport contracts
The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed the Bill 30-20 enacting special provisions for travel contracts, tourist stays and passenger air transport contracts.
This adoption took place during a plenary session chaired by Habib El Malki, President of the First Chamber of Parliament, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft, Air Transport and Social Economy, Nadia Fettah Alaoui.
Introducing the bill, Mrs. Fettah Alaoui stressed that its adoption comes in a particular context marked by the socio-economic repercussions of the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), emphasizing the urgency of adopting it to save companies in the sector threatened with bankruptcy, particularly travel agencies, tourism, tourist and air transport companies facing financial and socio-economic difficulties.
The bill, which allows service providers to reimburse amounts owed to customers through a loan receipt in the form of an identical or similar service proposal without increasing prices, also aims to limit economic activity stoppages and their impact on jobs by working to reduce the pressure on service providers while protecting the interests of customers and to maintain demand and avoid settling transactions in foreign currency, says a press release from the Chamber.

Coronavirus Morocco/Grandes Ecoles: The dates of the entrance exams fixed
The joint national competitive examination (CNC) for admission to engineering schools and the national competitive examination for admission to management schools (CNAEM) will take place next July, the Ministry of Education announced.
As part of the preventive measures adopted to deal with the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), the ministry has decided, together with the coordinating commissions for the two competitions, to hold the CNAEM on 11, 13 and 14 July and the CNC on 16, 17 and 18 of the same month.

First repatriation of Moroccans stranded in Melilla, they will stay in quarantine in Saidia and Nador
Blocked in Melilla since the suspension of travel due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, Moroccans temporarily staying in the Spanish enclave can finally hope for a return home. This Friday, some of them told Yabiladi that a first group made up of nearly 200 women and children, is concerned as a priority. Next will be the elderly and chronically ill, followed by young adults.
“Having heard of this possibility, several young adults headed this morning towards the border with Beni Ensar, under the strong presence of the Guardia Civil,” confided a Moroccan who has been stranded in Melilla since last March. A source within the regional authorities has also confirmed to Yabiladi that at the border crossing between the two cities, buses have been mobilized to transport 25 passengers each, from 3 p.m. (Moroccan time).
