The Government has decided to take precautionary measures, based on the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee, on the need to strengthen the measures of the state of health emergency and to continue to adhere to the measures and procedures necessary to combat COVID-19, from Wednesday 23 December 2020, 21:00 hours, for a period of 3 weeks.

The government said in a statement on Monday that these measures concern :

• The closure of restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets at 8 p.m on a national level.
• The ban on night travel at national level, every day from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., except in special cases.
• A ban on public or private parties and gatherings.
• Total closure of restaurants for 3 weeks in Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir and Tangier.

The government communication adds that all the precautionary measures previously announced will be maintained.
