June 03, 2020: “Manipulation of the COVID-19 numbers in Algeria”: Bekkat Berkani speaks up
Mohamed Bekkat Berkani, president of the National Council of the Order of Physicians and member of the National Commission for monitoring and follow-up of the evolution of the coronavirus epidemic in Algeria, said on Wednesday, June 3, that the figures that the commission provides daily on the evolution of the epidemic in Algeria are not manipulated. He added that the Head of State Abdelmadjid Tebboune is following the evolution of the situation through these figures in order to decide whether or not to lift the partial containment.

June 03, 2020: The three proposals from merchants impacted by COVID-19
The NAFC has revealed on its Facebook page three proposals from merchants and artisans that are formulated and that turn around three points :
- The possibility of granting interest-free bank loans to merchants and craftsmen impacted by the coronavirus,
- The possibility of a tax exemption from 6 to 12 months of the 2020 fiscal year for the benefit of affected merchants and craftsmen,
- The possibility of cancelling late fees for traders and craftsmen affected by the crisis.
Finally, the representatives of traders and craftsmen asked the Minister of Trade to propose to the Prime Minister to authorize the resumption of commercial and craft activities.

June 03, 2020: The wilaya of Tizi Ouzou prohibits access to beaches
The wilaya of Tizi Ouzou has decided to ban access to beaches from 1 June until further notice as part of measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, according to a communiqué issued today by the wilaya’s services.

June 03, 2020: Physical distancing measures – More than 1000 offences recorded
The National Security services carried out, during the period of containment last May, the control of 225,591 persons and recorded 1,093 offences relating to the non-respect of the physical distance imposed as part of the measures to fight against COVID-19, said Wednesday the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
